Jillian Shennessy (born on November 25 on the 25th of November, 1968) is a Canadian actress, singer that made waves on American television. She was the main character in the American television series Law & Order, where she portrayed prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh in six seasons. Hennessy has also showcased her acting prowess in films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted and the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class in which she worked on her scriptwriting and co-directing muscles. Hennessy began her career in 1988, alongside her sister as twin call girls in the film Dead Ringers. She spent a short time on Broadway performing Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, before moving into the world of science fiction in 1993 in the role of Doctor. Marie Lazarus. The following year, her biggest break was when she joined NBC's hit show Law & Order to play the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. This character captivated viewers for three seasons until she left it in 1996. Parker has appeared on series and films such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys On The Side, West Wing Angels in America and Red Fried Tomatoes. For these, she received the Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award. Parker is also the recipient of the 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress for the Broadway production Proof.
