Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 and was the 2nd youngest recipient in Oscar history. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actor and New Zealander who, as a kid won the Academy Award in 1993 for the most outstanding actor supporting. The actress played the fierce girl who played Holly Hunter's portrayer on the film The Piano. In response to an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish musician. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician who moved into New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. As a teenager, she made the move to America. Paquin played a minor role in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was a child as part of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and she was a leading character in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was a part-time actress in the 1997 TV movie adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The actress played teens in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
