Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a artist that was born in Newark New Jersey on the 9th of August 1963. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the choir of the church when she was a young child. At the age 15 she joined her mother in backing vocals in Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978.
